Later this month, I will have an interesting orchestral program to play which includes classical hits by Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Sibelius, Brahms and more. Instead of digging out the parts, I've been getting my fix by listening to some of my favourite Brahms recordings and playing Brett Miller's Concert Etudes, which are based on some of his works - there are some tricky licks, and plenty of high notes, but it's great music and I needed the transposition practice!
